I’ve been super busy for the past two weeks with events and projects follow up. Not forgetting that I have to make appointments to meet up with my clients. It was only after the Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry’s 11th Infocomm Commerce Conference that I can finally relax and have time to spare to update Crispnetworks. It’s a long blogging hiatus for me.

Well, that aside, I had a good chat with Ms Jenny How over msn on Tuesday about blogging plans. We chatted about what kind of plans we can have for our blogs in terms of the kind of topics to update everyday of a week. Here’s our conversation (please bare with our Malaysian English):

Jenny: how’s yr internet income coming along?
Tommy: stagnant now…
Tommy: no time..damn bz with work now…going to have an event this thursday
Jenny: yea lo, no focus is diff
Tommy: bz preparing…
Tommy: somemore need to meet clients also

Jenny: whr got eng(free)?you doing sales ar
Tommy: ya…sales
Tommy: aiya…blog actually if you can update 4-5times a week is very good liao…
Jenny: need time leh…like links…find more info
Tommy: of course la…that’s y blogging also need to plan one…
Tommy: get some time to sit down and think the topics want to write…
Jenny: ya wo…no easy work in the world wo
Jenny: actually quite easy also ho
Tommy: like what I did when I started…but now…no update…
Jenny: just one day write one category
Tommy: yeah…can also…
Jenny: actually just 5 days i do
Tommy: like every monday u do a review of hottest items in ebay
Jenny: so, just need 5 category to do with ebay
Tommy: tuesday tips
Tommy: wednesday about yrself
Jenny: quite easy, but not easy also
Jenny: ya, i think that’s the better
Tommy: thursday about the sky
Jenny: monday tips
Tommy: friday the sun
Jenny: tuesday weird auctions
Jenny: wednesday news
Tommy: saturday something fun
Tommy: sunday a round up
Jenny: thurs, myself
Jenny: fri, books or bla blabla
Tommy: yeah
Tommy: sigh…that is a reminder to myself…
Jenny: last time i do like this
Tommy: i should sit down and think this weekend too
Jenny: friday normally i put up a topic for debate
Jenny: usually get lots of feedbacks on friday
Jenny: now i stop liao, after focus on ebay more

Tommy: can distribute it like 3 days ebay stuff 1 day yrself 1 day debate and 1 day news and 1 day round up/ thank you notes…

Jenny: ya hor..let me write down
Tommy: i need to do that also…kns…boss give so many things for me to do
Jenny: u shoud organise also
Tommy: yeah…

Tommy: hey…there you go…i’ve got my plans
Tommy: hahaha
Jenny: ya, faster write down

Jenny: put something that slap ppl on the face

Jenny: maybe alternate days lo, if you can’t daily

Planning for blog topics is always good but most of the time many people couldn’t follow the plans. Just like the resolution one makes beginning of the year and realized that they can’t follow it throughout the year. Jenny and I both agreed that focus is one of the most important factor that determine the success of your blogging plans. This is also a reminder to myself.
