Free Online Backup Storage

IDrive-E LogoHard disk space always runs out very fast after a year or so. I’ve been using portable 3.5″ hard disk since my days in the university. I can’t live without it because all my important documents, softwares installation files, musics and movies are inside. However, after some time I switched to thumb drive when the storage space gets bigger. Nowadays you can buy 8GB thumb drive in the market. But sometimes I forgot to bring my thumb drive out as I always travel in the weekend. I need a better solution.

Online Backup Storage

IDrive-E offers 2GB of free Online Backup space without any backup and restore restrictions or bandwidth limits or file type restrictions. IDrive-E has the following features:

Easy and Hands-free
Complete, hands-free, automated, remote backups of your files/folders

Secure and Reliable
World-class infrastructure for the data centers, advanced data encryption

High-end Features
Versioning, incremental backup, mapped drive backup, sync etc.

There’s a paid version too. It offers unlimited backup for just $4.95/month of $49.50/year. Well, I’m taking the free first. If you need backup some of your files, you can give this a try. Cheers.

Well, it has 2GB. It doesn’t say you can’t have multiple accounts. You can have one account one purpose.
Actually I use Google mail as my storage too.

Try G.ho.st the Global Hosted Operating SysTem. It provides 3GB of free online storage which can be accessed from both Windows or any browser and the G.ho.st desktop which work as your hosted operating system.

Hi Tommy,

Good posting.

I have been reading about the online backup industry for a while now.

Online backup is maturing and slowly getting the attention of the general consumer.

One website worth mentioning is the backup review site:

http://www.BackupReview.info

This very informative site, not only posts up to date news and articles from the industry, but also lists about 400 online backup companies and ranks the top 25 on a monthly basis.

The site now covers storage in general, not just online backup.

Could you please feature this site and post a review so that your readers will be aware of its services.

I enjoy reading your posts. Keep it up!
