After years of R&D, Microsoft has finally unveiled its latest computing product - Microsoft Surface, a coffee table lookalike computer.

History of Microsoft Surface

Microsoft Surface Brainstorm In 2001, combined to initiative brainstorming of ideas and concepts for a interactive table. They vision a mix of physical and virtual worlds to provide rich and interactive experience. Satisfied with their ideas, they presented the idea to Bill Gates in early 2003 and built a prototype based on an IKEA table. Later they headed a team of researchers and developers to build applications and improve on the prototype. As people always said, the rest is history.

What is Microsoft Surface?
Microsoft Surface represents a fundamental change in the way human interact with computers and digital content. Surface allows us to grab, drag, resize, compare and move information between objects with natural gestures and touch. Well, many of us saw how we can manipulate things like photos with Apple iPhone. Looks like Surface is something similar. But it’s actually much more than that.

Surface is built with a 30-inch tabletop screen whose unique abilities allow several people to work independently or concurrently without using a keyboard or mouse.
