New Google Analytics Launched

Just about 3 hours ago, Google announced its new Google Analytics official launch through email. As usual, the graphical user interface are clean cut and easy to see.The Dashboard feature which lets you see the overview is improved with AJAX driven interface. You can easily just add, delete drag and drop the reports you would like to see. That is to mean you don’t have to choose which kind of user overview you want to see like previous version where you have to choose Executive, Marketer or Webmaster view. You choose what you want to see. Easier right? I just love it so much.
Here’s some of the new features according to the email sent by Google:
- Email and export reports: Schedule or send ad-hoc
personalized report emails and export reports in PDF format.- Custom Dashboard: No more digging through reports. Put all
the information you need on a custom dashboard that you can
email to others.- Trend and Over-time Graph: Compare time periods and select
date ranges without losing sight of long term trends.- Contextual help tips: Context sensitive Help and Conversion
University tips are available from every report.
The following resources are available to help you get the most from the new Google Analytics interface:
- Report Finder Tool: will help you see where data from the
previous interface is located within the new version (it is
also linked to from within your reports on the left
navigation menu):

There are a few things to note about the new version:
- You need Flash version 7 or above. Don’t have one? Go to Adobe.com
- Google Analytics now uses the same geo-data source as the Google Adwords. Hence, you’ll see a slightly different geo-location report.
- The limiting Available Reports for a profile by specifying which Report Dashboards and Report Categories are available has been removed from the product in favor of the new customizable Google Analytics dashboard. Google recommends that you schedule an email to deliver the data to them with the email reports function.
