pfingo

pfingopfingo is an innovative new mobile Internet service suite launch recently by Starhub in Singapore. Launched on 29th March 2007, Starhub’s new unit Advanced Multimedia Services is developing pfingo that leverages Internet Protocol (IP) standards to deliver services using Internet with greater convenience and flexibility for all mobile users, regardless of mobile networks they belong.

pfingo, short for ‘phone, finger, Internet, on the go’, allows users to mobilise their existing favourite web-based services such as email (Google, Yahoo! or other email services), voice-over-IP, and instant messaging (Windows Live Messenger) with greater ease and convenience. It eliminates complex configuration and multiple log-in procedures that plague consumers today. It also provides an optimised user experience by integrating the services into a single, integrated application accessible across different devices.

Current the free trial already started in early April. Three types of service is available now which is pfingoMAIL, pfingoTALK and pfingoACTIVE. Wait no more and go register a free account yourself now!

Crisp Analysis:
This great new product by Starhub gives another alternative to Skype, Blackberry and other mobile applications. Available only in Singapore currently, the free trial period runs from April until end of June. Personally, I have been using pfingoTALK for my local calls in Singapore for free. Every account registered will be assigned a phone number, which is great because my friends and clients recognize my calls. Despite the great features from pfingo, I wonder how’s the charges is going to be in the future when the free trial ends. By the way, have you try the service?
