Simple Way to Hugely Increase Your RSS Stats
Bloggers in general are scratching their heads when it comes to increase their blog’s traffic. That including me too. As I browse through experts’ article in the blogsphere, I found an interested method to increase your RSS stats - by Jon Lee.
How to do Increase RSS Stats?
Very simple. All you need to do is to place in the <head></head> section of your site:
<link rel=â€prefetch†href=â€http://feeds.feedburner.com/crispnetworks†/>
Why this line of code will help?
Here’s the reason:
By default, Firefox has the “network.prefetch-next†variable set to true. When set to true, this tells Firefox to prefetch any links that a web page tells it to. So by adding a little HTML tag to my blog, I was able to tell all these Firefox browsers to prefetch my Feedburner feed. Essentially, this gets the visitor’s browser to click on and load my feed in the background without their knowledge.
Please take note that this method does not increase your RSS subscriber although you have higher RSS hits. It should be noted that the prefetch function works in all versions of Firefox 0.6 and above. One last thing, it’s always the best practice to get your readers coming back for more is to write quality and timely content for them.
