Something weird happened to my Technorati

Yesterday, I did a major movement on my blog by moving to the root of crispnetworks.com instead of crispnetworks.com/blog/.

Therefore, I went to all the social bookmarking sites to update my blog information. As for Technorati, I need to claim my blog again with the new URL. Something weird happen to Technorati’s authority ranking.

Before I change (using crispnetworks.com/blog/),

Old Technorati Authority Ranking

After changing to crispnetworks.com,

New Technorati Authority Ranking

My blog’s has higher Technorati Authority Ranking after the change. The only reason that I can think of is that more people link back to my blog using crispnetworks.com instead of crispnetworks.com/blog.

By the way, anyone of you out there knows what’s the real reason? Leave a comment here.

Technorati tracks the links to a specific URL. I also usually link to the plain domain instead of a specific folder since the folder might disappear in the future.
